Can Guinea Pigs Eat Kumquats?

Our humans were a little hesitant about feeding us kumquats because they could not find much information online about whether it's okay for guinea pigs to eat them, so they only gave us one. Honestly, that was one too many because this was a rather disappointing food. We give it 1.5/5 stars.

What's that? It smells interesting.
Buffy, do you actually like this stuff? Feel free to eat my half if you do.
Buffy doesn't want it. Clean this up, humans!
We thought we were going to like this stuff because we love other citrus fruit, but kumquats are just too strong-tasting for our liking. Better luck next time, humans!

  3. It seems to be a palette thing for piggies. Mine is a picky eater but is nuts for these little orange spicy fruits. Key thing is moderation in all things. One or two a week is fine just like most fruits an citrus. It's a good one for vitamin c. If your pig has more of a sweet tooth they may not like spice/higher acidic types or fruit and veggies. :)

  4. Do you ever give foods a second chance? We don't always like foods when we try it the first time, but have changed our minds about several of them when exposed a second or third time.

  5. We have a sweet kumquat tree that produces an amazing amount of fruit. I just adopted a piggie (Jack) and I searched to make sure first and he loves them! It has been eons since I've had a guinea pig as a pet and I am learning tons from your blog. Seems like I am looking daily for more information. Thanks
